Does this sound like you?

You have the skills to create art that people will want to buy but need an injection of funds and mentoring to get the business side of it all off the ground?

Tasmania’s own community lending service, NILS Network of Tasmania provides no interest loans of up to $3000 to very small businesses to help them get started or give them a boost.

The loans are repaid through Centrepay and have no fees. No credit check is needed.
You simply need to:
· Be over 18
· Have a current Health Care or Pension Card
· Have stable accommodation
· Visit a Business Enterprise Centre to get help preparing a business plan

The loan can be used to pay for anything from advertising or computer software to training, equipment and beyond.
NILS is not a bank. It is a not for profit organisation supported by Aurora Energy, Federal Group and the State Government. It works using circular credit so that when you repay your loan it returns to a pool of funds that are then lent to another Tasmanian micro-business. To date, 100 per cent of micro-business loans have been paid back in full by borrowers.

The program is based on the Nobel Prize winning Grameen Bank concept and it has helped hundreds of Tasmanian men and women get started or keep going in micro-businesses around the State.

Is NILS the answer for you? Visit your local BEC to find out more or call them on 1800 440 026
